Lessons from COVID-19 outbreaks for spaces between buildings using tactical urbanism

Abstract Several urban agendas related to different spaces in cities are documented the global literature. This research explores social interactions voids between buildings using tactical urbanism. As part of this study, we examine changes perceptions use by comparing critical differentiation factors before and after outbreak COVID-19. We conducted an online survey for three months among residents Egypt a comparative method based on personal, residential, district characteristics. The results revealed that during COVID-19 pandemic, played role. According conclusion, urbanism, rapid low-cost intervention, material availability, small-scale pop-ups essential reducing adverse effects These findings confirmed longer persisted, more planning shifted smaller public within walking distance, resulting long-term activities rather than large areas land being planned.
